Microsoft hints at 7-inch, 7.5-inch and 10.6-inch Windows 8 tablets

The Verge’s Tom Warren was present at a session on building apps for multiple screen sizes at Microsoft’s Build developer conference on Thursday.

During the presentation, several anticipated screen sizes for small Windows 8.1 tablets were lined up on the screen.

Interestingly the list contained references to 7-inch, 7.5-inch, and 10.6-inch Windows 8 tablets running at high resolutions.

The 10.6-inch display is listed as running at 2560 x 1440 and the 7-inch display at 1920 x 1200, while the 7.5-inch panel comes with a 1440 x 1080 resolution.

The site speculates that given the limited use of a 10.6-inch display for devices, Microsoft may have accidentally disclosed a new Surface tablet.
