The Daily Mail reports that Prince William plans to play in a charity polo match on Sunday.

“Initially his office said yes, then said no, and have now confirmed that he will be playing,” a source told the publication.

“I think he was torn as, clearly, he wants to be with his wife at such an important time, but was all too aware how much the event raises for charities he is passionate about.”

The report states that Kate won’t accompany her husband as she prefers to remain in her London “safety zone” ahead of the impending birth.

The royal baby is due in mid-July, according to palace officials and the birth announcement will be framed on a wood and gold easel behind the gates of Buckingham Palace.

A recent report announced that the couple will set on a tour with the royal baby in spring 2014.
