“I would like to thank my Aunt Rena as well as the doctors and nurses who are working with us around the clock. I would especially like to thank the two men who saved my son’s life, Eugene Stachurski and Ben Crews,” Usher said in a statement. “They are true heroes and I am deeply grateful to them.”
The 5-year-old sank to the bottom the swimming pool to get a toy that was stuck in the drain, but one of his hands got caught in the sewer.
Usher’s aunt and the maid pulled the little boy immediately, trying to take him out of the pool, but their attempts were unsuccessful.
Eugene Stachurski and Ben Crews, the men that Usher thanked in the statement, were the ones who managed to save the boy.
One of them performed CPR on the child and took him to the hospital.
The doctors said Usher Raymond V feels ok now.
