Until now, the X Factor judge, 53, kept all the details about this situation private, given the feelings involved in this matter. But now, the dad-to-be confesses that he is excited about becoming a father.
“I’m proud to be a dad,” Cowell told BBC. “It’s something I hadn’t thought of before, but now I know I feel good about it.”
In fact, in an interview he revealed that he likes kids, but that his work has kept him from starting a family.
“I do really, really like kids, because I can talk to them and listen to them,” he told AOL Music in 2012. “The problem has always been how much time you need to devote to bringing up kids and I’ve always dedicated all my life to work, and at 52, I’ve probably missed the opportunity.”
Also, the British mogul called his baby mama Lauren Silverman “a very special girl,” adding that “things are changing” in his life “right now, for the better.”
Simon Cowell’s baby mama reached an “amicable” divorce settlement with her ex-husband Andrew Silverman.
