The big news about the next Apple iPhone is the integration of a fingerprint reader in the Home button which in turn is expected to bear some major design changes.
The device will be extremely similar to its predecessor, the iPhone 5, with a major difference, besides the fingerprint reader and new Home button, being the dual-LED flash on the back of the smartphone.
The iPhone 5S is expected to come with the same chassis as the iPhone 5, measuring 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm and weighing 112 grams.
A faster A7 chip with improved graphics is included on the list of new specs, as well as 2GB of RAM, which is twice the memory on the previous iPhone generation.
A bigger battery, an upgraded camera and improved 4G LTE are also among the new features.
Another novelty that the iPhone 5S has been rumored to bring will be its availability in two additional colors besides black and white, namely graphite and champagne.
The device is expected to hit store shelves on September 20 alongside the low-cost iPhone 5C.
