Apple announced that the battery life for the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C is higher than the one on the iPhone 5.
The company said the battery life will increase by 25% for browsing using 4G LTE or a Wi-Fi network. A significant improvement is also expected for daily use.
Since Apple didn’t provide exact details about the battery, AnandTech discovered in the FCC documents that the iPhone 5S comes with a 10% larger battery, and the iPhone 5C has a 5% higher battery capacity than its predecessor.
According to the documents, the iPhone 5S has a battery of about 1570 mAh, produces 5.96 Whr and has a voltage of 3.8V. The battery on the iPhone 5C is about 107 mAh, 3.8V and produces 5.73 Whr.
All of that makes the iPhone 5S battery 10% higher than the one on the iPhone 5, and the iPhone 5C battery about 5% higher.
This increase in battery size, plus the hardware and software improvements, offers two extra hours of browsing and use.
