Apple announced that Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo is going to commercialize the iPhones for the first time.

The Japanese mobile operators’ entry on the iPhone market started as a race to attract customers.

DoCoMo, KDDI, and SoftBank have announced Friday that they will offer the 16GB iPhone 5S for free with a two-year contract on certain plans.

The three carriers have set 5,460 yen (about $55) monthly data network fees.
