Various sites confirm that the stocks for the new high-end smartphone will be particularly tight for September 20.

AllThingsD reports that an unnamed carrier will have “grotesquely unavailable inventory” of iPhone 5S models.

BGR joins the band, reporting the number of smartphones available in stores will be “severely constrained.”

U.S. operators have said that the amount of new iPhones available was even smaller than expected.

9to5Mac writes that AT&T will have a greater number of iPhone 5S models available than Verizon. He adds that 16GB and 32GB versions will be more numerous than 64GB units.
