Specifically, KGI’s Ming-Chi Kuo speculates that between 6 and 8 million units could be sold by Apple in the next 3 days.
That’s a boost in sales compared to last year when the company recorded 5 million sales at launch of the iPhone 5.
The analyst expects Apple to announce combined sales for the two smartphones and not individual sales figures.
In this sense, Kuo tried to give an estimate of the exact percentage for each model. Hence, he believes sales of the 5S will represent between 35% and 45% of the total, whereas the budget iPhone will get between 55% and 65% of sales.
In a statement Apple has said that they have recorded an “incredible” demand for the new iPhones.
