The band has announced that they have decided to go separate ways, People reports.
Three weeks ago the three siblings were canceling their tour due to what a spokesman called a “deep rift within the band.”
“It’s over for now,” Kevin Jonas told People.
“It’s really hard to say ‘forever,’ ” Nick added. “We’re closing a chapter, for sure.”
“It was a unanimous decision,” said Joe.
The issues came up after Nick, 21, shared his concerns during an October 3 meeting.
“I was feeling kind of trapped,” Nick said. “I needed to share my heart with my brothers.”
Over the past few weeks signs of problems between the three brothers were evident after the band’s official Twitter account was deactivated on October 17.
Also, Joe Jonas tweeted a message to fans on October 22 that read, “Please hold while we get our s–t together.”
