In an interview with the publication, Sandra Bullock proclaims loudly that life is not a bed of roses.
“When people are like, ‘Life is good,’ I go, ‘No, life is a series of disastrous moments, painful moments, unexpected moments, and things that will break your heart. And in between those moments, that’s when you savor, savor, savor,'” she said.
In 2010, right after winning an Academy Award for Best Actress Oscar for The Blind Side, Bullock went through a bitter divorce from to Jesse James after reports about his infidelities surfaced.
The actress is reportedly in for another Oscar thanks to her performance in Alfonso Cuaron’s space drama Gravity, starring George Clooney.
She has also starred in the comedy The Heat this year, alongside Melissa McCarthy. Both films have been box-office hits.
But thanks to those hard times Sandy has learned to appreciate life’s gifts. The actress said that she’s content with being single a single mom to her son Louis, 3.
“If [a relationship] should come along, great,” she told EW. “But I feel like I’m not missing anything yet. Maybe one day I will. But my son is 3 years old, which is an amazing age. Four is an even better age. So if something happens, great, but if not, I’ve got plenty to do.”
“In 1982, I was desperate to have a job in LA,” the 52-year old “Back to the Future” star said at the Casting Society of America’s annual Artios Awards where he was honored.
“I owed money, and my phone was cut off. I was selling sections of my sectional sofa. I was ready to go back to Canada and pick up nails on my brother’s construction site.”
But things changed for the better when he was cast in the sitcom “Family Ties.”
“I went in to read for ‘Family Ties.’ They [initially] wanted Matthew Broderick. He’d usually go in first for auditions, and you’d hear hands shaking. I was always losing jobs to Matthew Broderick,” he said.
After his role in the sitcom, he landed roles on “Back to the Future”, “Teen Wolf” and more.
The actor, who has been battling Parkinson’s disease for over 20 years, currently appears in “The Michael J. Fox Show”, a comedy inspired by his life.
This September he opened up about how the disease has changed his acting.
“I had a certain fluidity to my movements and rhythm of speech and a physicality that I had depended on,” he told Rolling Stone.
“It served me really well, but when that was taken away, I found that there was other stuff that I could use. That hesitation, that Parkinsonian affect, is an opportunity to just pause in a moment and collect as a character and respond to what’s happening and just gave me this kind of gravitas. It really gave me a new view of things.”
The two sisters claim that they verbally agreed with Lawson that they could use the credit card freely if they kept silent about her alleged d–g abuse.
“I wish this last year had never happened,” Saatchi told jurors during the trial held at Isleworth Crown Court in West London. “If you think I am taking any pleasure from this situation then you are greatly mistaken.”
The trial also included the reading of an email sent by Saatchi in which he accused Lawson of being “off your head on dr–s.”
“I could only laugh at your sorry depravity,” the email read.
He said: “I am utterly bereft that this private note has come back to haunt us.”
Saatchi also wrote that Grillo sisters could escape the conviction of fraud because the chef was “so off her head.”
However, he admitted that he had never seen any proof that Lawson was using drugs.
As for the photos taken at the restaurant in Mayfair in June, the art collector said he “was not gripping, throttling or strangling her.”
“I wanted her to focus on what we were talking about,” he said.
Saatchi and Lawson divorced in July after a 10-year marriage after photos of him surfaced showing him with his hands around his ex-wife’s neck at a London restaurant.
Jolie was rumored to have given $20 million for the Petra Island, located about 50 miles north of Manhattan in the middle of Lake Mahopac in Putnam County, as a gift for Brad Pitt.
However, the owners told the New York Post that they listed the island four months ago and still haven’t found a buyer for it.
“I don’t have any idea where that [report about Jolie] came from,” the owners’ daughter, Donna Massaro, told Page Six. “The family threw it out there to see if anyone was interested, and so far no [potential buyers] have [come forward].”
