iPad Air teardown reveals A7 processor, smaller battery, LG Display

The teardown shows that a new 2-cell 32.9 watt-hour battery replaced the old 3-cell 43 watt-hour battery that powered the iPad 4.

LG Display manufactured the Retina screen that has dropped 20% of its thickness.

The tablet is equipped with a 5-megapixel iSight rear camera that comes with a shorter focal length.

On the front a 1.2-megapixel FaceTime HD camera equips the device, bringing an improved sensor.

The iPad Air comes with the same 1GB of Elpida DDR3 SDRAM and multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) technology like the iPhone 5S.

Wi-Fi performance has doubled compared to previous generations.
