Citing “sources familiar with the plans,” Bloomberg reports that the devices will feature 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch screens, which will be considerably bigger than the 4-inch display on the iPhone 5S.
The insiders claimed that the displays will sport “glass that curves downward at the edges.”
Apple is also said to be developing pressure-sensitive display sensors that differentiate between light and hard presses on the screen.
However, the report states that this feature is set to be incorporated into “a later model.”
A recent report claimed Apple is collaborating with GT Advanced Technologies Inc. a factory specializing in the production of sapphire, sparking rumors that the display on the next iPhone may be manufactured from the material.
