A report by The Korea Times citing an official at a local Apple supplier claims that an iPad with a Retina display of 12.9 inches is currently in the works.
In addition, this 12.9-inch tablet would have a better image quality close to the “ultra high-definition” displays.
As tablets are starting to gain ground compared to PCs, the new iPad would just the same screen size as the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.
It seems that Apple is planning to launch the rumored device on the market early next year.
Rumors about a 12.9-inch iPad slated for a 2014 release aren’t new.
Earlier this month a Chinese news site reported that a new iPad with a display diagonal of either 11.4 or 12.9 inches is currently being tested at Foxconn.
