In an interview with the publication, Adam Levine revealed his reaction after receiving the title.
“As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn’t really think that this was on the table,” he told People. “I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren’t, so that’s cool.”
No longer a heart to take, the 34-year-old has been engaged since July to supermodel Behati Prinsloo, a member of the Victoria’s Secret angels.
“I didn’t think marriage was for me for a long time,” he said. “I was ready when I was ready. That’s about as simple as it could possibly be.”
Levine made his acting debut in the TV series American Horror Story and most importantly, completed the cast of Can a Song Save Your Life, a comedy with Keira Knightley to be released shortly.
“This is just a really interesting time where everything seems to be heading in a certain direction,” he added. “And I’m not taking any of it for granted.”
