Amy Winehouse’s father addresses biopic rumors

Mitch Winehouse, the late singer’s father, spoke about these rumors at the Amy Winehouse Foundation Ball this week, in an interview with DigitalSpy.

“I don’t really want to do a biopic, but there’s a documentary film from the same people who did ‘Senna’ coming out next year,” he said.

“A concert would be amazing, but it’s actually getting it together with the [record label]. It sounds great in theory, but in practice it’s not so easy. We are talking about it though.”

Celebrity guests present at the ball included Barbara Windsor, Pixie Lott, Boy George and Mark Ronson.

“I’m emotional, but happy to be here and grateful for everyone who’s come to support us,” Mitch Winehouse said. “It’s just wonderful. Amy should be here, but under the circumstances I’m happy.”
