The Fast and Furious star was unanimously praised for his qualities, as a friend, an actor, as well as an active philanthropist.

At the time of his death, he was participating in a charity event for his nonprofit group Reach Out Worldwide, a fundraiser benefiting victims affected by the recent typhoon in the Philippines.

Walker’s costars in the Fast & Furious saga were most affected by his death in a car accident.

“Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless,” his co-star Vin Diesel wrote in a message on Instagram, alongside a photo of him and Walker.

“My heart is hurting so bad no one can make me believe this is real,” his friend and costar Tyrese wrote on Instagram.

“Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don’t understand,” he continued. “My heart hurts it’s broken no one can convince me that this is real…. Prayer warriors please pray real hard for his only child, his daughter and family… #HeartOfAnAngel13YrsFamilyForeverWeJustCelebreatedYour40thBirthday….. My God… My God… I can’t believe I’m writing this.”
