Several unnamed Foxconn executives have told C Technology that the next Apple smartphone could be made available in two variants, a 4.7-inch screen model and a 5.7-inch device.
It is speculated that the bigger screen models may have some type of biometric technology, in addition to the Touch ID fingerprint scanner already included in the iPhone 5S.
The rumor was made public via Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter.
A September report by The Wall Street Journal claimed that two iPhone prototypes with 6-inch screens were being tested.
A similar rumor was echoed a month later by DisplaySearch analyst David Hsieh who alleged that Apple was testing two iPhones of 4.7-inch and a 5.7-inch panels.
