The latest tabloid cover headline reads “Blake & Miranda: $100 Million Divorce!” and it comes from the National Enquirer.
But Shelton responded with joke as he has done until now.
“Wow!! @mirandalambert and I are so excited about our 100 million dollars!!! Who knew you could make so much money just by divorcing?!!” he wrote on Twitter.
“So what are u going to do with the money?” a follower asked him.
“Mostly just cr–k and h—ers …Oh and Taco Bell!!” he answered.
Last year in March the couple had been the target of infidelity speculation, and once again the country singers addressed the rumors on Twitter in a humorous way.
“Hey @mirandalambert… I just read in a tabloid that our marriage is falling apart!!!” Shelton tweeted. “FOCK!!!”
“Oh no!” Lambert replied. “Can’t wait to read if we make it or not.”
“@blakeshelton why are we tweeting each other when we are literally laying an inch apart?” his wife finally wrote. “Wait…don’t answer that…..:) #keepitclean”
Anyway, Shelton admitted last year in an interview on “CBS This Morning” that he is not bothered by what is written in the tabloids.
“I love it,” he said at the time. “I honestly do love it. I just know, to have that kind of coverage, if I’m popular enough they want to put me and Miranda on that stuff — that’s awesome. I have an album coming out! Put my album right next to it and pick it up.”
