A report by The China Post claims that the iPhone 6 will maintain its 8-megapixel sensor, while opting to improve the camera from the point of view of the optical stabilization.

The company won’t upgrade the sensor to 12-16 megapixels, according to analysts from Nomura Securities cited by the publication.

The report states that such a camera would have to be built on a slightly larger frame and the current body of the device doesn’t leave any room for that.

Meanwhile, photos of the alleged thinner body of the next iPhone have surfaced online.
