Ke$ha’s mother checks in the same rehab as her daughter

A week after Ke$ha checked herself into a rehabilitation center, her mother joins her at the same facility.

“I’m checking myself into Timberline Knolls today for post-traumatic stress disorder, at Ke$ha’s urging,” Pebe Sebert, 57, said in a statement to People.

Ke$ha’s mother said that her daughter developed an eating disorder after pressure was put on her to lose weight.

Sebert blamed Ke$ha’s producer, Dr. Luke, for the distress, claiming he had called the 26-year-old singer a “refrigerator” and that she had developed bulimia.

“This whole Dr. Luke thing has almost torn our family apart and taken over my life, and Ke$ha wants me to heal along with her,” Sebert told the magazine.

“Dr. Luke had been telling her how she had to get in shape and lose weight and all this stuff. She was exercising and dieting and ultimately doing everything she could, but not getting thin fast enough,” she explained. “And that’s when she first became bulimic.”

“Dr. Luke told a friend of ours he thought she looked like a refrigerator on her latest video, and could she please try to control her weight. After she went on a 14-day juice cleanse, he said, ‘Thank God you finally got rid of the weight! We’ve all been talking about it!’ So she felt like she couldn’t trust anyone.”

Just before the holidays, Ke$ha had a breakdown.

“Right before Christmas she had a breakdown, and called me from the gas station after she’d thrown up everything, and admitted how much she’d been doing it,” her mother explained.

The singer and her mother will be treated at Timberline Knolls, the same center Demi Lovato went to in 2010.
