Eldar Murtazin, editor at Russian site Mobile-Review, has tweeted the launch date when the Korean manufacturer will introduce its Galaxy S5.
The event, he says, will be held at 6:00 p.m. local time in the city of Barcelona, on February 23rd, which is the day before the opening of MWC 2014.
Murtazin claims the handset will arrive on the market somewhere at the “end of April.”
The blogger also tweeted that a new version of TouchWizz could be in the pipeline.
“Samsung Galaxy S5 launch – 18.00. Barcelona. 23 February. Price the same. Launch – end of April. Specs – u know them new touchwiz,” he wrote.
The report echoes statements made recently by Lee Young Hee, executive vice president of the mobile division, who spoke about a presentation of the device in March and April.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to pack a 5.25-inch screen, 4GB of RAM, a 20 megapixel camera, a fingerprint sensor and a 2900 mAh battery.
