Toyota reportedly plans to introduce many innovations in the next generation Prius, due for release in 2015.

Designers reportedly plan to reduce the weight of the car by 20 %, which will significantly enhance its power.

The car will finally get modern lithium-ion batteries instead of the current nickel-metal ones.

The center of gravity of the new Prius will also be lower, thanks to the use of a new platform.

The fourth generation of the Prius will get a new version of the brand Toyota Hybrid System, Hybrid Synergy Drive, which will benefit from an electric engine with improved propellant combustion, which will have a level of thermal efficiency of over 40%.

The fourth-generation Toyota Prius reportedly goes on sale in the spring of next year.
