By contrast, the iPhone 5S brought a camera of 8 megapixels with a narrower aperture (f/2.2).
In addition, the infrared filter used on the iPhone 5S would be replaced by interchangeable lenses treated with resin.
These lenses could be designed by Japan’s JSR and they would be able to filter the light better thanks to the resin.
Called ARTON Resins, the lenses are capable of recording much clearer pictures in almost any conditions.
They are said to be lighter and thinner than the IR filters and also seem to be taking clearer images since the resin minimizes differences in color of CMOS cameras.
