Yesterday, invites sent by the Korean manufacturer confirmed that the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona will host the launch event of the handset at 20:00 on February 24.
Now Russian blogger Eldar Murtazin has just confirmed many of the potential specifications of the device in a tweet.
The Galaxy S5 could thus get a larger screen than the current model, offering a 5.24-inch AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 resolution (560 pixel per inch density).
According to Eldar Murtazin, two versions may be available: one would be powered by an Exynos 6 processor, while the other would pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset.
Both should be completed by 3 GB of RAM.
The S5 will also come with 3200 mAh battery, a digital 16 megapixel rear camera and a 3.2 megapixel cam on the front, as well as 32/64GB of memory.
Murtazin added that the device will come with an S Band bracelet, a new version of S Health, and new accessories.
Software side, the blogger wrote that “a lot of software for smart home” will be available with the new S5.
