Susan Sarandon speaks about Jonathan Bricklin, opens up about split from Tim Robbins

“Jonathan and I collaborate on different things. That means a lot of things,” the actress told the magazine.

Asked if she was referring to a romance, she said, “Yeah, I think so.”

Sarandon, 67, and Bricklin are owners of the New York City ping-pong bar SPIN.

In the interview, the actress al addressed her highly-publicized breakup with Tim Robbins, whom she broke up with after 23 years together in December 2009.

She revealed her appearance in the Broadway play Exit the King made her question the relationship.

“You can’t do a meditation on death and stay in a situation that’s not authentic. It made me examine where I was in my union and in my life, and to have discussions about making changes.”

“It’s better to have made decisions that turned out badly and learn from them than to feel as if you had no choice and are resentful of the turns that your life takes,” she said. “My life has been filled with happy accidents. The thing that’s served me well is being able to change onto a different track when it’s presented itself.”

She and Robbins have two sons together, Jack, 25, and Miles, 17. Sarandon also has a daughter, Eva Amurri, 28, from a previous relationship.
