The developer behind the free game Flappy Bird, who was become extremely popular in recent months, withdrew his creation from the App Store.
“I am sorry ‘Flappy Bird’ users, 22 hours from now, I will take ‘Flappy Bird’ down,” developer Dong Nguyen wrote on Twitter on Saturday. “I cannot take this anymore.”
Nguyen denied selling the game or removing it for legal reasons.
“It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore,” he later wrote.
Asked whether he would sell the game, Dong responded: “I never sell my things.”
But the Vietnamese designer will however continue to develop other games.
“I still make games,” he tweeted on Saturday night.
