In line with the recent rumors, both smartwatchs feature the new Tizen operating system.
The Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo will be compatible with a dozen Samsung devices. They maintain the same appearance as the Galaxy Gear but bring several improvements and new features.
The Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo both offer the ability to receive notifications about incoming calls, texts and other messages.
They share a 1.63-inch Super AMOLED display with 320×320 resolution, a 1.0GHz dual core processor and microphone input.
Galaxy Gear 2 has a 2.0 megapixel autofocus camera that can record video at 720p. This component is absent from the “Neo” model.
Both models are dust and water resistant.
The Samsung Galaxy Fit measures the daily activity of the user: it includes an accelerometer, pedometer, gyro and heart rate sensors and alarm.
Other features include a 210 mAh battery, Bluetooth connectivity and a strap that can be changed.
Samsung’s Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit will launch on April 11 in nearly 150 countries.
