The company presented the new chip on Monday at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, offering details on the official website.
PowerVR GX6650, a 192-core graphics processing, is said to offer the most powerful graphics for mobile phones and tablets.
The chip is able to process 12 pixels per clock, three times more than the technologies offered by competitors. In addition, the GPU could be used on tablets and 4K smart TVs.
Imagination also said that despite further enhance performance, energy provided by PowerVR GX6650 is quite low.
Apple and Imagination announced earlier this month that they have extended the period of cooperation in the field of mobile graphics, which could indicate that future iOS devices, such as the iPhone 6, will still use Imagination’s technology.
