Mark Gurman of 9to5Mac has learned new information about the next Apple operating system update, the iOS 8, from a reliable source.
The images that were leaked on the net show screenshots of an iPhone with various apps.
Based on the pictures, it can be said that four new applications could be included in the new version of the system: Preview, TextEdit, Tips and Healthbook.
Healthbook should enable the detection of users’ vital parameters (blood pressure, heart rate) using their smartphones.
Apple could improve the Voice Memos app in iOS 8, making it clearer. Some users have complained about a lack of clarity of controls, especially with regard to playback of recordings.
CarPlay may soon also work over Wi-Fi instead of wired through the Lightning connector.
Apple is also said to be testing a function that would allow apps to better communicate among each other.
Regarding the Game Center application, the report notes that Apple is thinking of banning the app from iOS and Mac OS X as it is apparently underused. The app will be integrated directly into game apps.
