Lupita Nyong’o rumors say actress is in talks to star in ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the “12 Years a Slave” star met with JJ Abrams about the potential involvement in the seventh installment of the saga.

The site writes that Lupita could take on the female lead in the highly-anticipated film and could be a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The actress is also set to appear in The Whole Truth, a drama with Daniel Craig in the lead role.

Saoirse Ronan, Kate Mara or Margot Robbie have also been considered for the characters of the saga.

This year Nyong’o won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for the role of the slave Patsey in “12 Years a Slave,” an adaptation of the memoirs of a black American slave in the nineteenth century.
