According to ISI Group analyst Brian Marshall, Android users may be tempted to buy the next iPhone after the device is upgraded to a larger display.
In a note to investors obtained by AppleInsider, Marshall writes that he expects the new handset to help Apple grow dramatically in the stock market.
He believes Apple’s first phablet is set to spark “significant upgrades among iPhone users,” and that a 5-inch display will be responsible for the “motherlode of all [iPhone] upgrade cycles” and the great number of users who might switch from Android to iOS.
In addition, the analyst claims that Cupertino will release two models of the iPhone 6: one with a 4.7 inch screen and another with a screen of 5.5 inches.
He adds that this “pent-up demand” for a bigger screen iPhone could increase earnings per share by up to $3.00.
