According to Taiwan’s Commercial Times [via G for Games] reported on Tuesday that the commercialization of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 could be postponed to 2015.

This is said to be due to the fact that Apple is looking for a battery that will fit the device’s ultra-thin design.

Previous reports have claimed that the smaller iPhone 6 will be launched in the fall.

The battery capacity for the smartphone isn’t specified, but rumors have suggested that the 4.7-inch model will get a 1700 mAh battery.

Also according to the report, the bigger iPhone 6 model is being called the iPhone Air by suppliers.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo estimated earlier this month that the larger iPhone will be released in the fourth quarter of 2014, likely after the launch of the smaller smartphone.
