Morgan Stanley analyst Grace Chen believes that Apple could ship 10.5 million cases for the smartphone by the end of the year, a figure representing only 15% of Apple’s request.
This may indicate that an estimated 70 million iPhone 6 models could be shipped this year.
Analysts at Barclays Capital expect Catcher to increase its production between 20 % and 40 % to meet demand for the iPhone 6.
The company is one of Apple’s main suppliers and the partnership between the two companies could be expanded as demand for the iPhone 6 increases.
Barclays analysts expect shipment of the iPhone 6 to be 35% to 45% higher than that of iPhone 5S units in 2013.
