The China Post and Taipei Times reported that Taiwan’s Catcher Technology will be the supplier of metal casings for the iPhone 6.

Morgan Stanley analyst Grace Chen believes that Apple could ship 10.5 million cases for the smartphone by the end of the year, a figure representing only 15% of Apple’s request.

This may indicate that an estimated 70 million iPhone 6 models could be shipped this year.

Analysts at Barclays Capital expect Catcher to increase its production between 20 % and 40 % to meet demand for the iPhone 6.

The company is one of Apple’s main suppliers and the partnership between the two companies could be expanded as demand for the iPhone 6 increases.

Barclays analysts expect shipment of the iPhone 6 to be 35% to 45% higher than that of iPhone 5S units in 2013.

On Wednesday new reports announced that the larger 5.5-inch phablet iPhone could hit the market in 2015 because of problems with the battery.
