A launch in mid-September isn’t unusual for Apple. The iPhone 5 was released on September 21 in 2012, while the iPhone 5S and 5C were unveiled on September 20, 2013.
The same source indicates that the smartphone will be available in two storage versions: a 32 GB version priced at 5288 yuan or about $850, and a 64 GB model that costs 6,288 yuan, or $1,008 but nothing is said about a possible 128 GB version.
This is the second time that the launch date is mentioned after German carrier Deutsche Telekom reportedly announced customers about the same release date for the device.
Recent rumors claim that the production of the iPhone 6 is set to begin in July. The device will be assembled by Apple’s regular partners Foxconn and Pegatron.
