iPhone 6 leaked photos reveal Touch ID fingerprint sensor

Images that present the Touch ID sensor to be mounted in the next iPhone 6 have been published by Japanese gadget blog ASCII.jp on Wednesday and spotted by Nowhereelse.fr.

At first glance, the new component doesn’t differ much from that of the iPhone 5S.

The only discrepancy seems to be the relocated screw holes that will help attach the part to the handset’s metal housing.

These new Touch ID sensors are expected to be more resistant and respond more quickly to inputs.

Apple supplier Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) reportedly produced the first batch of fingerprint sensors for the iPhone 6 in May.
