iPhone 6 rumors: next iPhone camera could feature 13MP Sony Exmor sensor

According to a post on Chinese forum Digi-Wo [via GforGames], the iPhone 6 could be fitted with Sony’s Exmor IMX220 camera sensor.

The 1/2.3” sensor features 13 million pixels and records video in 1080p.

These features are a big step forward compared to the 8-megapixel, 1/3.2″ sensor that currently equips the iPhone 5S.

Previous rumors have claimed that the iPhone 6 will pack the same sensor as the previous generation and that the larger 5.5-inch model could come with optical image stabilization.

The next iPhone is rumored to receive a 1810 mAh battery and to be available in two sizes.
