A report by Re/code claims that Apple has scheduled a September 9th event where the company is likely to unveil the next iPhone model.
Both the 4.7 and 5.5-inch variants, powered by A8 processors, are expected to be presented.
If Cupertino sticks to tradition and launches the devices a week after their release, as it happened to previous generation iPhones, the new smartphones could hit store shelves on Friday, Sept. 19.
Following Re/code’s report, both the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg have confirmed the September 9 launch date.
The report also adds that the iWatch could be unveiled at an event in October.
Re/code has proven a reliable track record in the past.
However, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently claimed that production issues could delay the release of both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhones.
