Apple gets approval to sell iPhone 6 models in Thailand

Takorn Tantasith, Secretary General of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) in Thailand, confirmed on his Twitter account that the government has given the green light to the launch of two new iPhones in the country, according to Manager Online.

Apple’s import application was approved on August 8 for the two versions of the iPhone 6, referenced with model identifiers A1586 and A1524.

Government regulations in Thailand require that the decision to grant this permission must be made public.

This is an indicator that the iPhone 6 will be marketed in a larger number of countries than in the past.

Last year Thailand was part of the list of countries receiving the second batch of iPhone 5S and 5C units on October 25.
