French site iGen.fr has managed to get hold of snapshots “directly from a very reliable source” from Foxconn, showing the exact dimensions of Apple’s future martphones.
Both the 4.7 and 5.5 inches iPhone 6 models appear in the pictures, with codenames N61 and N56.
According to the data, the dimensions of the 4.7-inch version of the iPhone (N61) will be 138 mm long, 66 mm wide, and 6.9 mm thick.
As for the5.5-inch version (N56), the dimensions become 158 mm long, 78 mm wide, and 7.1 mm thick (7.7 mm if we consider the protruding camera), and a weight of 184.6 grams.
The numbers seem to confirm the rumors about the camera ring that would increase the thickness of the device.
By comparison, the current iPhone 5S is 123.8 mm tall, 58.6 mm wide and 7.6 mm thick.
The report also notes that Apple tried to implement a 2.5mm jack instead of the traditional 3.5mm one, but eventually dropped the idea due to costs.
In addition, a source close to the production said that the phablet version will be equipped with a 2,915 mAh battery, as some earlier rumors have claimed.
There is no mention however on whether the screen will remain sapphire or Gorilla Glass.
