iPhone 6 rumors: new adapter likely, reversible USB cable could come later

Third-party vendor Moca.co [via MacRumors] claims that Apple won’t be able to launch a USB reversible cable in time for the introduction of the iPhone 6.

In addition, the manufacturer says Cupertino hasn’t placed any orders for such a device.

Apple’s official partner that manufactures the cables has sent samples to Cupertino to get the approval, but they have yet to receive an answer.

However there’s good news regarding the redesigned power adapter as Moca.co claims that the device has entered production and it may be presented alongside the new iPhone.

The new charger will be able to send up to 2A of current to the iPhone 6, which is double than the current iPhone 5S adapter.

It will also be able to charge all iPhones, iPods and iPad minis.
