Confirming rumors about the possible launch date, Apple on Thursday invited the press to an event on Tuesday, September 9th, presumably to unveil its new smartphone, the iPhone 6.
“Wish we could say more,” the invitation sent to the media reads.
As always, experts are sure to look for clues of what will be unveiled at the keynote on the invitation but not much can be speculated.
This new version of the smartphone is expected to offer larger displays, measuring 4.7 and 5.5 inches, as suggested by the rumors in recent months.
Numerous components have been exposed on the web this summer, including the logic boards, the Lightning connector, the True Tone flash and the protruding camera among others.
A recent report alleged that the smartphone could arrive in stores between September 16th and 19th, based on Apple’s usual iPhone schedule from the past years.
But the iPhone 6 might not be alone on stage as Apple is rumored to unveil the hotly anticipated iWatch at the event.
