In a new research note, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects the 4.7-inch model to be launched by Cupertino in mid-September, followed by the 5.5-inch phablet 5 to 10 weeks later.
The analyst believes that the demand will outrun shipments of the handset, especially the 5.5-inch version.
In addition, Kuo believes a 128 GB storage option for the two smartphones will be made available.
He also doesn’t expect to see a sapphire cover on the new iPhone’s camera lens after failing drop tests.
Kuo also expects the device to feature a programmable multi-function power button that will be moved to the side and a barometer for navigation and health-related functions.
