According to Digicame-Info, the Canon EOS 7D Mark II will pack a 20.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, a 65-point autofocus, a maximum sensitivity of ISO 16,000 and dual DIGIC 6 processors.
Film makers will enjoy even higher quality images thanks to the full HD video capture at 60fps feature.
The camera will also benefit from dual-pixel autofocus with 65 AF points, a dust-proof magnesium alloy shell, a 150,000-pixel metering system and built-in GPS.
Other highlights include an intervalometer for time-lapse sequences and a maximum burst rate of 10 frames per second.
Canon could introduce the long-awaited new version of its EOS 7D during the Photokina exhibition which starts on September 16 in Cologne, Germany.
