But now a new analyst report sheds new light on the inner features of the device.
Analyst Timothy Arcuri of Cowen and Company managed to get information from sources in the supply chain and found that the Apple Watch might have a memory of 512MB RAM.
In terms of internal memory, he expects the watches to be offered in 4 GB and 8 GB variants, but the latter not as a standard configuration.
The analyst predicts the Apple Watch will incorporate a wireless combination chip that is similar to the Broadcom BCM43342 currently found in the iPhone 5S.
The fact that the chip includes a GPS radio is “somewhat at odds” with Apple’s announcement that the watch will need to be connected to an iPhone for GPS data, Arcuri believes.
The Apple Watch will arrive on the market in the early months of 2015, with prices starting at $349 for the basic version.
