According to Taiwan’s Commercial Times, the next-generation iPad Air will enter production in September and will be presented by Apple in October, while the next-generation Retina iPad Mini is set to be introduced in early 2015.
The site also states that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is coming in the second quarter of 2015.
A few days ago, The Daily Dot claimed that Apple plans to introduce new iPads at its next event scheduled on October 21, a theory that was denied by The Loop’s Jim Dalrymple, who replied to the post with a simple “Nope.”
AppleInsider also wrote that the company plans to introduce the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 in the second half of October. In 2013, Apple presented the iPad mini with Retina display and the iPad Air at a media event held on Oct. 22.
Previous rumors have suggested that the iPad Air 2 will have a thinner design, a better camera and as color variants it is speculated that the tablet will be available in silver, gold and space gray. Also, it is said to bring a faster A8 chip, an anti-reflective display and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
