Apple could launch 27-inch Retina iMac in October

According to Jack March, Apple is currently in the process of preparing a 27-inch iMac with a 5K screen for commercialization.

The model is said to have a Retina display with a very high resolution of 5120 x 2880.

March also claimed that the new device will be equipped with AMD graphics cards, while the general configuration should be similar to the current model.

As for the processor, the company might continue using Intel Haswell as Broadwell processors aren’t ready yet.

In addition, 9to5Mac speculates the launch of the new model could be part of the next event that Apple might have planned around the middle of October.

The site cites similar information about the 27-inch iMacs being in “late testing stages” at Apple.
