Recent reports announced that Samsung may build the design of the new Galaxy S6 from scratch, doing away with everything that the phone had so far in terms if design.
According to the The Korea Herald, during the last IHS Display Analyst Conference, analyst Jerry Kang stated that the Samsung Galaxy S6 is coming with “a ‘dual-edged’ screen which is curved on the right and left sides, ” next year on the market.
“The dual edge is expected to be beneficial for Samsung Display, the main display supplier for the smartphone-maker, as larger displays bring more profit,” he explained.
Kang also revealed that a dual-edged screen was initially planned for the Galaxy Note Edge, but the idea was dropped “at the last-minute” for unknown reasons.
The Galaxy S6, reportedly code named Project Zero, is said to be equipped with a qHD display, a Snapdragon 810 processor, a 20-megapixel rear camera and an improved 5-megapixel front camera.
