Stephen Hawking would love to play the villain in next James Bond movie

In an interview with the magazine Wired, the astrophysicist says that the role of a villain in the famous franchise would be ideal for him.

“My ideal role would be a baddie in a James Bond film,” he told the publication. “I think the wheelchair and the computer voice would fit the part.”

Hawking, 72, is to a large extent paralyzed by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and speaks with the help of a speech computer.

In the interview, the author of “A Brief History of Time” reveals he has grown to liking his new way of communicating.

“I was able to speak with a speech synthesizer, though it gave me an American accent,” Hawking says. “I have kept that voice, because it’s now my trademark.”

The scientist has already had acting jobs until now. He starred as himself in an episode of Star Trek in which he played a game of poker with Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein. He has also appeared in an episode of The Simpsons.

The shooting of the next James Bond movie is likely to begin in the near future.
