In an interview with Marie Claire‘s January 2015 issue, Lambert explains how happy she is being married to Shelton.

“I’m not sunshine and roses,” she said. “Blake’s the happiest person on the planet. He pulls me out of my darkness … Literally, everything is the best about being married.”

Actually, the 31-year-old country star called her husband “my best friend in the whole world” in an Instagram message on his birthday.

“Somethin’ Bad” singer also talks about how losing weight has boosted her confidence.

“When you have to walk out there in front of thousands of people, it does feel good to know that your s**t’s not jiggling,” Lambert said. “I’m just like anybody else, insecure and scared of looking bad or being criticized. But everybody’s making this big, giant thing about it. It’s way too much focus on women’s bikini photos, and I hate it. Why do we care? I want women to love themselves whatever they’ve got going on.”

And speculations didn’t stop at her marriage to the 38-year-old country star. Last November, Lambert clarified some rumors which suggested that her weight loss was due to surgery.

“Though I NEVER care what the tabloids have to say about me… I wanted to address this certain story they are running this week and set the record straight. I DID NOT have surgery to lose weight. That is ridiculous. I lost my weight the healthy and good old fashioned way. Watching what I eat and working out with my trainer Bill Crutchfield,” she wrote in a letter to her fans.
